Christer joined FSN Capital as an Industrial Advisor in 2025 and has extensive experience in the energy transition and sustainability area. He is a Senior Partner Emeritus with McKinsey and Company, where he worked from 1994 to 2024.

At McKinsey, Christer served clients in the energy area, including oil and gas companies, power companies/renewables developers, equipment manufacturers in solar and hydrogen, as well as large energy users.

In addition to client work, Christer also had significant McKinsey leadership roles. He built up and led McKinsey’s global energy perspective team, a global team responsible for serving clients in the energy transition based on an extensive suite of models and approaches. He also founded, built and chaired the board of McKinsey’s global Power Solution team, a team serving power clients on strategic and operational topics, again leveraging and extensive set of models, benchmarks and proprietary approaches.

Christer holds a Master of Science in Technical Cybernetics from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTNU) and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD.
