Michael Rupp is an independent advisor with more than 25 of years experience in the global sporting goods, footwear and outdoor industry. He was CEO of Jack Wolfskin, a German sports equipment manufacturer and producer of outdoor wear, until June 2015. In this position, he was in charge of a 700 employees strong workforce managing over 850 stores globally and annual revenues of €350 million.
Previously until July 2012, Mr Rupp was President and CEO of The Rockport Company, a leading brand within the adidas Group corporate portfolio and a US based brown shoe manufacturer operating in 66 countries.
From 2005 until 2007, Mr Rupp was leading the integration of Reebok into the adidas corporate structure and then became COO of Reebok, a US-based global producer of athletic shoes, clothing and accessories.
Prior to this he was holding senior-level executive positions at adidas group, amongst others, as Managing Director Central Europe (until 2005), Sales Director EMEA (until 2002) and Managing Director Middle East (between 1995-2000).
Mr Rupp holds a degree in business administration from Berufsakademie Ravensburg.
