Teres Medical Group, Scandinavia’s leading private surgical group, establishes a strong presence in Denmark.
The highly reputed Danish hospitals Parkens Privathospital (Copenhagen), Quattro Clinic (Fredericia) and Artros-Aalborg Privathospital (Aalborg) joined forces with Teres on 30 September. These units represent some of the most highly rated private hospitals in Denmark with leadership in arthroscopic surgery. In addition, Teres has also initiated the establishment of a new state-of-the art hospital in Brøndby (Copenhagen) which will offer patients plastic surgery and other selected procedures by respected surgeons.
“Establishing Teres as a leading Scandinavian player has been our strategy since the initial investment in 2007. We are very pleased to complete the expansion to Denmark and welcome our new hospitals to Teres” says Thomas Broe Andersen, Partner at FSN Capital.
The acquired clinics will pro-forma add sales in excess of NOK 110m in 2010, which the group expects to increase significantly in the coming years. The Teres group now includes 15 private hospitals in Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
Teres Medical Group is primarily active within orthopaedic and plastic surgery but also has competencies within neurosurgery (spine surgery), ENT surgery and general surgery. The group is owned jointly by FSN Capital II funds, surgeons and the management team.
